Anacapa has issued licenses and provided training materials to agencies and organizations for conducting intelligence analysis training. Typical terms and approach for granting a license are as follows:
- Anacapa designs a training course, in consultation with the licensee, to meet the specific training needs of the licensee.
- Anacapa conducts the resulting course for analysts and prospective instructors of the licensee. All instruction by the licensee is to be conducted by persons trained in the course directly by Anacapa.
- Anacapa provides computer disks of all training materials to the licensee. These materials include the course book, practical exercise data packages, visual presentations, and exercise solutions.
- The licensee may modify, translate, and reproduce the materials in the quantities needed for training with the understanding that development of these materials by Anacapa will be clearly and prominently acknowledged, and that ownership and copyright of all materials will remain vested with Anacapa.
- The licensee has perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, unlimited-site authorization to use these materials for training.
- The one-time fee for the license and course materials is $10,000 (the cost of conducting the first course by Anacapa is separate from the license fee).
