One Week----$545 per person

This is our basic course in intelligence analysis techniques. It is for analysts, investigators and agents who require analytical techniques to enhance their investigative capabilities. The course addresses the application of analytical methods to the investigation of complex criminal activities such as organized crime, narcotics trafficking, fraud, gangs, gambling, terrorism, conspiracies, and violent crimes. All techniques can be applied without the use of computers or software applications. However, those who do use computers in their analytical work are encouraged to bring laptops to the course and to use applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical programs (such as the i2 Analyst's Notebook) for completing in-class and practical exercises and for presenting the results of their analyses.

Outline of Course Topics
  • Link analysis-techniques that clarify relationships among individuals, organizations, telephone numbers, locations, and other types of entities
