Brief descriptions of Anacapa instructors are provided below in alphabetical order.

Richard G. Fuller

Mr. Fuller has 35 years of combined experience in intelligence analysis as both an analyst and an instructor. Prior to joining Anacapa in 1978, he spent four years with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's office, analyzing patterns of criminal activity in a three-county region of California and coordinating the data-collection activities of field investigators. His last assignment in a 20-year career with the U.S. Army was teaching military law and history at the University of California. He holds an MA degree from Arizona State University, and attended the Army's Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Douglas H. Harris

Dr. Harris has designed and evaluated many innovations in intelligence analysis, including both manual and computer-based techniques, and has conducted training in these techniques since 1971. He has conducted intelligence analysis courses and workshops for agencies in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Venezuela, Serbia, and Singapore, and for the United Nations. He has also developed web-based training to support distance learning in intelligence analysis. He has formal training in psychology, statistics, engineering, and naval science, with a Ph.D. from Purdue University.


R. Glen Ridgeway

Mr. Ridgeway has been conducting courses in intelligence analysis for Anacapa for more than 30 years. He has also held key investigation and intelligence positions in the New Jersey State Police and in the New York Organized Crime Task Force. He has developed and conducted special courses for law enforcement agencies at the national and state levels, including the Office of the Inspector General, Department of Labor, and the Department of Justice. He is a past president of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA), and past chancellor of the Society of Certified Criminal Analysts (SCCA). He holds an MS degree from Iona College in Criminal Justice.


Jack W. Stuster

Dr. Stuster has been with Anacapa Sciences, Inc. for more than 28 years, has conducted courses in intelligence analysis, and has developed computer-based techniques for intelligence analysis. He has also worked with law enforcement agencies throughout the United States on the development of techniques for traffic law enforcement, including the prevention and detection of driving while intoxicated, speed law enforcement, and reducing the burden of reporting procedures. Dr. Stuster has formal training in psychology and anthropology, and holds the Ph.D. degree in anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
